Presenting part two of the Polo Ralph Lauren x Naiomi Glasses collection, the inaugural collaboration of the Ralph Lauren Artist in Residence program, reflecting our evolved design approach with the artisans and communities that inspire us. The Polo Ralph Lauren x Naiomi Glasses collection honors Navajo heritage and centuries-old weaving traditions. Naiomi Glasses is a seventh-generation Diné (Navajo) textile artist and designer whose work reflects the beauty of her Indigenous culture. Mirroring her personal weaving journey, the collection transitions from earthy, neutral hues to a crescendo of bright colors in this second drop, additionally influenced by her love of skateboarding. Inspired by one of Naomi’s favorite skirts, made by a local artisan, this version is crafted with cotton and features an allover motif based on springtime flowers from the Diné landscape. Its lower shirred tier features contrast rickrack trim, a detail familiar to vintage Navajo skirts.
